There is a report on www.worldofraids.com regarding a new round of keylogger infections. This time, the keyloggers are being intsalled unwittingly by curse gaming and worldofwar.net, both very common add-on sites. While it's not entirely clear how widespread any such infections might be, please exercise extreme caution if you've visited these sites recently. Please see worldofraids (the link above) for more details on how to tell if you've been infected, and how to correct the problem if you have. I cannot vouch for the details of the procedures myself. If you're even remotely concerned that your account may have been compromised, change your account password immediately from a non-infected computer. Do not wait. We have had guild members whose accounts have been compromised by keyloggers in the past, and recovery is not a pleasant, easy, or quick process. |

Our monthly guild meeting will be held on Monday, 20 November 2006 at 7:30 PM. As usual, the meeting will be held on Ventrilo. We'll try to keep this one relatively short. Topics to be covered include the looming threat of the expansion, but more specifically, the early arrival of new game mechanics in the next patch (and how that affects our raiding). We'll also discuss a little bit about the future direction of the guild, especially as people are able to start the leveling process all over again. |

The great thing about being the admin of a site is that you can make the news posts have whatever date I want. That means I can put this stuff up almost a week late, but make it look like it's been here since the night it happened! Alright, time travel aside, there is progress that be happening, yarr! As you can tell from the name, this was the guild taking down Ebonroc:
The next boss is a little harder to tell who it is, because in reality Flamegor looks just like Firemaw, and you even kill him in the same place. Rest assured, my gentle snowflakes, that this is truly a picture of (dead) Flamegor:
Just so everyone knows it wasn't all shenanigans, we kept moving along. I'm at a loss to explain what Frosty the Snowman was doing in the middle of BWL, but perhaps it's worth noting that he showed up only after Chromaggus was dead. Yes, Frosty is a freeloader.
Just for kicks, we posed for a picture with Lord British. Wait a moment, I think this might be Nefarian. We just hung out this time. We'll kill ya later, Nef. Give us a couple of weeks, when that pesky Halloween doesn't blow a day out of our raiding week... |

At the risk of this guild turning into a spoiled bunch of punks who think we'll be dropping a new boss in BWL every time we go in (whoops, too late), we, uh, dropped a new boss in BWL yesterday evening. Firemaw is the next (and latest) in the list of BWL conquests. We had a whole lot of fun with this one as well as clearing the way on to Ebonroc, whom we'll pay some personalized attention to this Sunday. I'd happily link all the loot here but you know what, I just don't have it handy at the moment. Let me instead summarize it from memory: - [Epic Rogue Item]
- [Epic Rogue Item]
- [Epic Rogue Item]
- [Epic Rogue Item]
- [Epic Rogue Item]
- [Epic Rogue Item]
Everything was pretty much rogue crap! Welcome to World of Roguecraft! |

It can cut you like knife... Well, someone at least was a maniac (we have a few ideas who, but no conclusive evidence!) and managed to pull Broodlord Lashlayer accidentally while the raid was setting up, drinking, buffing, you know, all those really trivial and unimportant things raids do before engaging a boss. The guild's very first attempt at Broodlord was heralded by a mortal strike for over 10K--sadly, it was on one of us. A few more quick deaths ensued. What a way to start. So, we killed him. No no, not the person who pulled, although we considered that. We killed Broodlord. Congratulations to the winners from our first guild drop of this beast: - >[Head of the Broodlord Lashlayer] - Vladius
- >[Sabatons of Wrath] - Marzipan
- >[Lifegiving Gem] - Bevis
- >[Dragonstalker's Greaves] - Fuhma
Provided that we're successful in clearing out MC in a single night, we'll be returning on Wednesday. With everything respawned, we'll go for hte hat trick, then we'll see about Firemaw, Ebonroc, and the whole rest of hte lot. Oh, Milayne's back on track with the magic eye after the appropriate beatings were administered. If you didn't like his last picture, tough! |
